Keith Richards, Tribeca NY, 1988. I get hired by Guitar Magazine to go shoot Keith Richards. I’m a young pup photographer, shooting for this magazine, and they offered me $150 to go shoot him. Well, fuck! It’s Keith fucking Richards. So I say, “Keith, meet me down in Tribeca.” We head to this bar I knew there, and there are a couple of guys sitting at the bar drinking shots and beers - you know, the daytime serious drinkers - and otherwise, it was pretty empty. We took over this bar. They had a pool table, and I’ve got this great shot of Keith just leaning across the pool table with his cigarette and the 8-ball on the table. It’s one of my most iconic shots.
Each photograph is produced as an archival pigment print on Canson Platine Fibre Rag paper. All prints are hand-signed by the artist and offered as editioned Artist Proofs (A/P).
