Nicolas Cage
Los Angeles, CA 1998 1
Nicolas Cage, San Francisco CA, 1996. Nick has always been a quirky guy. I walked in to his house, which used to be owned by cult leader Werner Erhard, who started EST. The fireplace was this dragon, the chimney was the tail and the mouth was the firepit. There was a room full of late seventies communication and spying devices, all left behind by Werner - and Nick left it that way. He also had a huge glass case in the hallway with a six-foot live iguana in it - that, of course, was an addition from Nick. Imagine walking out of your bedroom at night and running into that!
He was always willing to collaborate. He inspired me to try things I probably wouldn’t have with any other celebrity. It was all about expression and emotion. Nick always played it up for the camera, and there was always something unique - whether it be a landscape, a piece of clothing, his attitude, or what he projected - that made each photograph so great.
Each photograph is produced as an archival pigment print on Canson Platine Fibre Rag paper. All prints are hand-signed by the artist and offered as editioned Artist Proofs (A/P).
Since prints and frames are made on an order basis, prints will ship approximately 2–3 weeks after order is placed regardless of the shipping method chosen. An email will be sent with the tracking information once the print ships. Delivery will regularly take between 3-5 business days.
